Italian fashion designers
Italian fashion designers have become the first in the world to ban size zero models from the catwalks.
Stylists have signed a joint declaration with the Italian government that in future shows all models will have a body mass index of 18.
It comes a month after the death of a Brazilian model and after this season’s shows were thrown in the spotlight by wafer thin anorexic models.
“We all need to work together against anorexia.” He accused some designers of exploiting underweight models to get publicity, condemning those “who like to provoke, who like to make a show so they get talked about.”
He said:”I have never liked thin girls and I have never made them go on the catwalk.” Mario Boselli, of the Italy’sdiscount gucci shoes Council, said:”Italian discount gucci shoes has always been the world leader and with this initiative we are assuming constructive behaviour and leadership that we hope will be followed by others.”
Stefano Dominella, of the Rome’s Haute Couture said:”The code wasn’t stipulated with the intention of imposing something on someone.
“The objective is the regulating of the world of discount gucci shoes, so that it doesn’t get pointed out as being responsible for the dramatic facts in the news.”
The Italian campaign, which will be officially launched on Friday in Rome, will also ask model agencies, photographers and makeup artists to join the battle against super-thin models.
Another thing Ms. Louis vuitton handbags often notices is the cut of the arms. Ms. Louis vuitton handbags likes to wear sleeveless dresses but favors ones that are cut at an angle to bare a little more skin at the top of the shoulder than at the bottom of the armhole. “The strong diagonal makes your arms look slimmer, draws your eye up to the neck and makes your body look longer.”
The designer, who is a petite 5-foot-3, is careful about where the hemline of the dress falls, too. She likes pieces that end at “the sweet point just below the knee — it flatters the leg.” She avoids dresses that end right at the knee, which “isn’t the prettiest part of the body,” as well as dresses that end in the middle of the calf, a length that can draw attention to a wide part of the leg. Ms. Louis vuitton handbags also avoids large prints in dresses because she feels they could overwhelm her petite frame.
While color is an important component of a dress — this spring, she is partial to coral and chartreuse green — Ms. Louis vuitton handbags pays especially careful attention to fit. One of the most common mistakes women make when shopping for clothing is being “obsessed with what size we are,” she says. “Don’t buy something just because it’s what you think your size is or should be — just make sure whatever you’re trying on fits you right.”
If a dress generally fits well but is tight in one area, Ms. Louis vuitton handbags usually gets the piece one size larger and has it altered. “There’s nothing less flattering than having something look tight on you — it makes even an expensive garment look cheap,” she says.
